Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT UK in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM British time slot (that’s 3PM Eastern for us Yanks) on WWE Network.
We'll post segment recaps, match results and highlights here. Most importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever happens on the newest wing of WWE’s third brand - starting during its initial broadcast!
NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts, but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
Enjoy the show!
- After a recap of last week, Vic Joseph & Nigel McGuinness welcome us while standing in front of the CGI royal tapestry.
- Ligero def. Mike “The Wild Boar” Hitchman via pinfall following a tornado DDT
- Dakota Kai def. Killer Kelly via pinfall following her code red/backstabber
Kelly dominated with submissions/rest holds, a big basement dropkick and a German suplex, but a drop toe hold set Kai up for her strikes, faces washes and finisher.
- Radzi Chinyanganya conducts a post-match interview with Kai in the ring. She puts over the UK crowd and says “a little birdie told her” there would be a NXT UK Women’s title. Dakota wants to be involved in the competition for that.
- Highlight of Zack Gibson’s winning the last UK Championship tournament and coming up short against Pete Dunne are shown.
- After a commercial, it’s another Eddie Dennis promo. He addresses the age difference between himself and his friends Dunne and Mark Andrews. While he was pursuing a career as a teacher and becoming the principal of an elite private school, they were living in their parents houses and flying to America for bookings. Then he had to watch them work for WWE. How do we think that made him feel?
- Liverpool’s #1 is here, and Cambridge is booing the hell out of him. He says he’ll soon be the world’s #1 and NXT UK’s #1. Gibson puts over beating Travis Banks, Flash Morgan Webster and Jack Gallagher in one night and becoming the 2018 UK Championship Tournament winner. The only reason he didn’t beat Dunne is because he wasn’t rested or prepared. A well-rested Zack Gibson can beat the Bruiserweight, and Pete knows it. He blames the Royal Albert Hall crowd and their chants (and the crowd is so loud here he demands to have his mic turned up). Gibson complains he hasn’t been given the rematch he deserves, and runs down Noam Dar getting a shot he claims he didn’t deserve.
A rundown of Dar’s failures brings out the Scottish Supernova. But before he can get to the ring, General Manager Johnny Saint is here. He tells them not to think about it, and orders them to his office.
You're in BIG TROUBLE, @ZackGibson01 & @NoamDar! #NXTUK GM @JohnnySaintWWE wants to see BOTH of you in his office! pic.twitter.com/MckCUDBa1X

- Ashton Smith gets a hype video, and he’s next.
- But first, Chinyanganya interviews Travis Banks backstage, who vows to get revenge on the Coffey Brothers for what they did to him in London at the UKCT.
- Ashton Smith def. Tucker via pinfall with the Ash Cloud (ripcord DDT)
Smith got the better of the early back and forth, then Tucker cheap shotted him out of a ref break to gain control. A pump kick and running high knees in the corner got back Ashton back in it and set up the finish.
- Danny Burch hype video. He debuts next week, and wants to win the title so he can tell London he’s “one of our own”.
- Saint has tweeted out next week’s main event, and it’s Gibson vs. Dar.
- Tyler Bate def. Wolfgang via pinfall following Tyler Driver ‘97
Fun, face vs. face affair which saw each man get in their signature spots. The end comes after Wolfie missed a senton from the top rope.
- McGuinness and Joseph hype up the roster while wondering who Saint will select as Dunne’s next challenger as we fade out.
