It was low on the list of concerns, but the show must go on. And an open issue for the never-stopping world of sports entertainment was how WWE would determine who gets to carry the Universal championship vacated by Roman Reigns earlier tonight (Oct. 22) when he revealed his leukemia has returned from the remission it’s been in since 2008.
With less than two weeks to go before a Triple Threat between Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman was to take place at Crown Jewel on Nov. 2, the company went with the most logical solution:
It will now be ONE-ON-ONE for the vacant #UniversalChampionship at #WWECrownJewel as The #MonsterAmongMen @BraunStrowman goes one-on-one with #TheBeast @BrockLesnar! #RAW pic.twitter.com/JZmsvJVUpQ

Here’s the rest of the crowd for the show in Riyadh (as of now):
- D-Generation X vs. Brothers of Destruction
- AJ Styles (c) vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship
- John Cena, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Seth Rollins & Dolph Ziggler in the World Cup tournament
