WWE World Cup qualifying matches set for SmackDown 1000

We already knew that Rey Mysterio would return to WWE at the landmark SmackDown 1000 episode this week in Washington D.C. for a World Cup qualifying match against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Now we know the other World Cup qualifier on the same show.

WWE has revealed that The Miz will take on Rusev for the final spot on the SmackDown side. Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy earned their way into the tournament last week, representing the other two blue brand representatives.

Over on Raw, John Cena, Kurt Angle, and the winners of the Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre and Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler matches will represent the red brand. The tournament is still scheduled for the Crown Jewel event on Nov. 2 in Saudi Arabia.
