WWE Evolution match card & rumors

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is a special event entitled Evolution, which is set to take place on Sun., Oct. 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Stadium in Uniondale, New York. This is the first ever all women’s PPV the company will promote, featuring women from the past and present.

We’re three weeks out from showtime. Here’s how the card looks:

  • Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella (Raw women’s championship)

The Bella Twins turned on Rousey on Raw this week and explained it by saying they don’t like how Ronda is taking their shine. The two sides have started calling each other “bitches.”

  • Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown women’s championship)

After another unsatisfactory finish, they booked this as a Last Woman Standing match, the first of its kind.

  • Trish Stratus & Lita vs. Alexa Bliss & Mickie James

This was originally to be two separate singles matches but it will now be a tag team match-up. It’s been reported the tag was always the plan and just a matter of getting to it.

  • Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler (NXT women’s championship)

Sane won the title at the latest TakeOver special and this is where Baszler will get her rematch.

  • Rhea Ripley vs Isla Dawn (NXT UK women’s championship)

This was put together at recent tapings.

  • Mae Young Classic Final

For the sake of not spoiling, I won’t post what it is here. It can be found online (here) if one is so inclined, but the final will take place on this show.

The majority of the women’s roster is expected to work the show, and many NXT talents are reportedly scheduled to be there. There’s been some speculation a battle royal will be booked to get as many wrestlers on as possible.
