It’s not the first time this has come up, but all the speculation about what IWGP Heavyweight champion Kenny Omega will do when his New Japan contract expires in early 2019 adds a little more weight to it this time around.
At an appearance at ACE Comic-Con in Chicago yesterday (Oct. 12), WWE Intercontinental titleholder Seth Rollins threw down the gauntlet, saying:
“I would like to face Kenny Omega. I am the best wrestler in the world, and would like to prove that.”
The Best Bout Machine picked it up, with the requisite tease about his future:
An exciting proposal...Now if only there were an appropriate venue for such a historic clash... https://t.co/zOxFKGAqk4

There’s been no reporting to indicate that Rollins’ WWE deal is up any time soon, or that he’d be interested in going elsewhere when it is, so the implication from Omega is pretty clear.
Obviously he’s talking about Austin Creed’s YouTube gaming channel, UpUpDownDown.
Or, I guess he could be hinting at coming to WWE?
We shall see after Wrestle Kingdom 13, Cagesiders.
