Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are on Cloud Nine. To open tonight’s (Jan. 9) episode of SmackDown, AJ Styles had a sit down style interview with Renee Young.
Styles tried to express his thoughts on defending his WWE World title in a handicap match at the Royal Rumble but then Owens and Zayn interrupted him.

During Owens’ rant and Zayn saying “Yep”, the BFF duo revealed what would happen when they defeat Styles at the Rumble. Owens specifically stated if they win the title, the friends would be co-champs.
Neither Shane McMahon or Daniel Bryan commented on Owens proclamation but SmackDown commissioner did book Owens and Zayn for a handicap versus Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and AJ Styles as tonight’s main event.
