WWE Raw viewers hold up well against National Championship Game

WWE.com

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was up against the college football National Championship Game featuring a thrilling Alabama comeback victory over Georgia. It’s no surprise, then, that viewership was down but it still held up relatively well.

This week’s show drew 2.76 million viewers, down slightly from last week’s 2.87 million. The big game drew over 27 million.

Here is Raw’s hourly breakdown:

Hour one: 2.99 million
Hour two: 2.91 million
Hour three: 2.50 million

That’s a bigger drop in the third hour than last week but in line with what they’ve been doing over the past couple months. All in all, WWE should consider it a big success that there wasn’t much of a drop up against such strong competition.
