WWE is pulling out all the stops bringing back a long list of Legends for its upcoming 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw episode on Jan. 22 but there are matches to be had featuring the current roster of talent. One of those matches will be for the Intercontinental championship, as Roman Reigns will defend his title against The Miz.
Miz returned on this week’s show to say Reigns has simply been keeping him warm for him while he was off filming a movie and setting up a new docuseries on the USA Network alongside his wife, Maryse. He went to General Manager Kurt Angle and demanded the match take place at Raw 25. Angle, agreeable as ever, went for it.
And so it will be.
So far, Reigns vs. Miz is the only match officially booked for the show, with most of the bigger matches taking place days later at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) but expect to hear more on the card in the days ahead.
