Enzo Amore returned at WWE house show in Evansville

Enzo Amore missed his scheduled Cruiserweight title defense against Cedric Alexander on this past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, then was pulled from 205 Live the next evening. He was even taken out of the Mixed Match Challenge, which was somewhat confusing considering that isn’t scheduled for another two weeks.

Making that even more baffling is the fact that he returned at the WWE house show in Evansville last night (Jan. 5, 2018), defeating Alexander in a championship match.

Amore was replaced in the Mixed Match Challenge by Apollo Crews, who was paired with Nia Jax, Enzo’s current on-screen love interest. All-in-all, it’s a baffling decision considering he was down with the flu and is already back. Perhaps the fact that he was contagious interfered with their schedule of announcing early pairings via social media videos?

Either way, he’s back, and we can expect that title match against Alexander to air on TV sooner rather than later.
