The Mae Young Classic runner-up made her first appearance on NXT a couple weeks back when she choked out Kairi Sane - the wrestler who beat her in the finals of WWE Network’s inaugural women’s tournament - to send a message to champion Ember Moon. Shayna Baszler will make her in-ring debut on next Wednesday’s episode.
In the meantime, she’s just wandering around the company’s Orlando Performance Center, choking people out...

Full disclosure, this only caught my eye thanks to the magnificent headline John Clapp and the team at WWE.com put on their write-up of it, “Shayna Baszler causes a ruckus at the WWE Performance Center”. But while the video Baszler tweeted comes off a little goofy, this is a good way to reinforce the Ronda Rousey-adjace as a threat.
A threat some NXT babyface will eventually have to deal with.
It wasn’t Jessie Elaban, a former volleyball player and fitness model who signed with The ‘E last Spring. Will it be Dakota Kai? Sane? Someone else?
We’ll find out starting Jan. 10 (or possibly here, if you can’t wait).
