A very eventful week continued with WWE’s newest brand, 205 Live and the Cruiserweight division, making more news as their Jan. 30 broadcast kicked off from Philadelphia.
SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan walked on stage with a familiar looking performer by his side. Bryan introduced the WWE Universe to a man whose been rumored to be debuting for the company for several weeks, but when DB did the honors, the first ever GM of 205 Live was rocking a new - very pro wrestling - name.

Another ex-TNA employee showing up in WWE wasn’t the only news, either. Maverick (which was acknowledged by announcers Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph as a new name for Rockstar Spud) revealed his plan to put the vacant Cruiserweight championship around someone’s waist... a sixteen man, single elimination tournament, the finals of which will take place at WrestleMania 34.
