This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was always going to be down in viewers from last week, considering that was the heavily promoted Raw 25 show. Even coming one night after the Royal Rumble (and the debut of Ronda Rousey), the show dropped from 4.53 million viewers to 3.39 million.
But that’s still a good thing.
Indeed, it was the most viewers for the show dating back to August of last year. Rousey did not appear but her debut and fallout from the Royal Rumble clearly built a great deal of interest.
The hourly breakdown shows a big drop throughout the show, however:
Hour one: 3.66 million
Hour two: 3.46 million
Hour three: 3.06 million
And that was with a John Cena vs. Finn Balor Elimination Chamber qualifying match main event.
Rousey may not be around on a full-time basis for a while, so we’ll have to wait to see what kind of effect she may have on week-to-week ratings.
