Mixed Match Challenge Week 3

Geno here. Let us do this.

I missed the open, Cagesiders, my apologies.

Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss vs. Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch

I tune in to Bliss working Lynch with a headlock. They immediately cut backstage to show up Bobby Roode and Charlotte talking about what they see while chatting along with fans on Facebook.

The camera angles are really something so far. Like they’re actually in the ring, super up close and personal. Even when they cut to Strowman, it was a close up of his face.

The angles are different than usual WWE production.

They set up for Lynch to get a tag to Zayn, who was reaching for it thinking it wouldn’t come. So when Becky kicked Alexa away and actually got the tag Sami let out a loud “NOOOOO!” Braun rushed him and threw him into the ring and went about dominating him, both in the ring and out of it. In fact, at one point he tossed Zayn over the barricade to the outside.

When he rushed back into the ring, he tripped on his way through the ropes. That got a laugh out of the crowd. It quickly gave way to awe when he tagged Bliss in and then lifted her up onto his shoulders, where she hit Twisted Bliss to get the pin on Lynch.

That was cool!

In the post-match interview, Strowman put Bliss over as having a “big personality” before saying they get along well both professionally and personally. Then, much to the delight of the crowd, he called her “cute.” She smiled in response and then, to an even greater response from the crowd, she said she thinks he’s cute too.

Then she said they’re going to “go all the way” and the crowd lost their collective mind. She meant as a team in the Mixed Match Challenge, of course.

See you next week.
