One night removed from the 2018 Royal Rumble, Stephanie McMahon and women’s Rumble winner Asuka opened Monday Night Raw in the ring. McMahon put the historic night into context while Asuka got on the mic to announce her intentions for WrestleMania.
Before Asuka chose which title she would challenge for, McMahon broke the news that the Raw women will get their own Chamber match at next month’s Elimination Chamber Network special and Alexa Bliss would be defending the Raw women’s championship against five other challengers.
The implication was Asuka would hold off on who to challenge until it’s clear who the Raw women’s champion is after next month’s show.
Rumors of a potential women’s Chamber match surfaced over the weekend.

Then Sasha Banks’ music hit and interrupted the celebration.
An angry, somewhat bitter Banks walked down Asuka and the two were immediately booked into a match later tonight.
