Women’s Royal Rumble 2018 Iron Woman: Sasha Banks

WWE’s Instagram

Sasha Banks has been present for most of the historic moments in WWE’s Divas Revolution-turned-Women’s Evolution. So it’s fitting that the wrestler who was in the first ever Hell in a Cell and Iron Man matches would enter the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble at number one.

A win would have been fitting to, but it wasn’t in the cards for The Boss. She’ll just have to settle for being the Iron Woman.

Banks lasted 54:46 according to WWE (let’s not talk about all the time she spent outside the ring, okay?). In the process, she helped toss Vickie Guerrero, then eliminating the legendary Trish Stratus and her best friend Bayley by herself before being thrown out by eventual runner-up Nikki Bella.

While you wonder if those actions constitute an oft-fantasy booked return to heeldom for The Legit One, tip your cap to Sasha for grabbing another piece of history on Sunday, Jan. 28 in her second pay-per-view (PPV) main event.
