As the reality that WWE was going to main event their 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) with the first ever Women’s Rumble match, and that the Men’s Rumble winner was challenging for the WWE title at WrestleMania 34, Brock Lesnar headed to the ring to defend his Universal title against fellow hosses Kane and Braun Strowman.
Paul Heyman’s intro for his client out of the way, all three men got right to brawling. And after Braun caught the champ square with a knee, the champ appeared to hit him with a right hand he’d usually save for The Octagon.
From there, things started to live up to Heyman, and the host city of Philadelphia’s, reputation. Lesnar got a steel chair (that Strowman punched right out of his hands), and The Monster Among Men set to leaning and opening tables around the ring shortly after.
A slam through one of the tables on the champ almost got a pinfall win for Braun, but Kane made the save. Strowman then began to take the mayor of Suplex City to, well, Suplex City. But when Braun went to put Brock through the announce desk, Lesnar countered and F5-ed the younger man through it instead.

The he toppled one of the other announce desks on top of him.
Kane tried to enter the fray with a chokeslam, but got dropped on the final commentary desk for his trouble. While that was happening, Braun came to and threw the wreckage off him. Lesnar tried to take the fight to The Monster, but ended up flying head-first into the ring steps. Strowman hit the running powerslam back in the ring, but rather than cover decided to go for a few more.

A Kane appearance sent Braun down the floor. Kane turned into a F5 and Brock covered for a quick pin. Strowman screamed “you didn’t beat me!” and Heyman led his client up the ramp, setting the stage for a rematch.
But I’m not sure people will be asking for Lesnar/Strowman III, as this was almost as rough as their one-on-one match.
