Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin got their latest shot at The Usos and the SmackDown tag team championship at tonight’s (Sun., Jan. 28, 2018) WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This time, it was a 2-out-of-3 Falls match.
The early story of the match was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams that saw multiple near falls as each team fought hard just to get that first fall. The announcers were in total disbelief every time someone kicked out.
That first fall finally came after Gable ate like four superkicks. It took a lot of work to go up 1-0.
Gable and Benjamin came storming back in a big way but it didn’t matter because Benjamin got rolled up and his shoulders counted down before Gable could do anything about it.
A clean sweep, 2-0.
Wow.
