It’s time!
The Royal Rumble is back again, and this time they’re giving us both a men’s and a women’s over-the-top-rope battle royal. It all goes down later on this evening (Sun., Jan. 28, 2018) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Here are all the names announced so far:
- John Cena
- Roman Reigns
- Finn Balor
- Randy Orton
- Shinsuke Nakamura
- The Miz
- Elias
- Baron Corbin
- Woken Matt Hardy
- Bray Wyatt
- Aiden English
- Rusev
- Titus O’Neil
- Apollo Crews
- Tye Dillinger
- Big E
- Kofi Kingston
- Xavier Woods
That’s 18 of the 30, leaving room for 12 more. There likely aren’t many surprises planned, or at least there hasn’t been much talk of as much in rumors, but Undertaker is in town. As for who might emerge victorious, there hasn’t actually been much indication of as much on television.
Shinsuke Nakamura’s name has been thrown around quite a bit, which would mean a title shot against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34. Roman Reigns is, of course, rumored to be in line for a Universal title shot against Brock Lesnar come April in New Orleans. That makes him a prime candidate for this spot.
Then again, it’s in Philadelphia. We all remember what happened last time they tried to crown Reigns in “The City of Brotherly Love.”
Perhaps this Rumble is interesting if only because it’s so unclear who will emerge victorious.
Tune in tonight!
