Tommaso Ciampa returned to remind a heartbroken Johnny Gargano he hates him

This was an interesting decision.

While folks were already debating whether NXT’s bookers made the right call in not strapping Johnny Gargano after he and Andrade “Cien” Almas had the Philly crowd eating out of the palm of their hands at TakeOver tonight (Jan. 27), Tommaso Ciampa returned.

The Sicilian Psychopath rocked his former tag partner with his crutch while Johnny and wife Candice LeRae were taking a curtain call. Then, with his knee still in a large brace, he walked off with a noticeable limp.

Could this have waited until Ciampa was healthy enough to do a little more? Or was this an effective psychological reminder that The Blackheart will always be there to twist the knife a little more, whether Johnny Wrestling is hurting or celebrating?
