Jerry Lawler says WWE is planning to have him call the men’s Royal Rumble match this year

From the latest episode of his podcast, Dinner with the King:

“Has it not been announced yet? Okay. ... Yes, I am going to be at the Royal Rumble and hopefully, I think the plans are right now for me to call the men’s Royal Rumble match. I did last year too, so that’s a lot of fun.”

WWE has yet to confirm as much, instead focusing its breaking news on Royal Rumble announcing on the women’s match, where Stephanie McMahon will sit in on commentary and Maria Menounos will act as guest ring announcer. It’s worth noting Lawler called last year’s Royal Rumble match alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves.
