Oh boy.
Roman Reigns lost the Intercontinental championship to The Miz on Raw 25 just days ago, and it wasn’t immediately made clear what his next move would be. It seemed obvious, though, that he would enter the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sun., Jan. 28, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Sure enough:
BREAKING: #TheBigDog @WWERomanReigns is officially entering the 2018 Men's #RoyalRumble match!
— WWE (@WWE) January 26, 2018
Reigns’ lone Rumble victory took place in the very same building back in 2015, on a night when the entire crowd turned on him in such a way that even The Rock’s presence couldn’t save him. Despite the three years of distance — and many great matches since — it’s likely he’ll garner the loudest boos of anyone in the match, whenever he enters.
This should be fun.
