Maybe the Miz should win the Royal Rumble

The Fourth Wall Royal Rumble preview with match predictions is now available for your listening pleasure.

We cover each and every match on the card, including sharing our predictions for the men’s Royal Rumble, which you may find transcribed right here:

Zach: “It’s got to be Finn (Balor) or Shinsuke (Nakamura). I think both of those would be great builds, great matches on the road to Wrestlemania, but maybe it will be a surprise. Like you said earlier, the way that they have done this, it is wide open, and I think it makes it super, super exciting. It makes me even more excited to watch it. I just love what the gimmick of the Rumble can do. It can put wrestlers face to face, however briefly. I just love those short little pops, you know what I mean? I love those little moments within the big, overall huge match. I love what it enables what no other match really can.”

Pete: “I like the Shinsuke or Finn call. Finn Balor is someone I wish would win it because he has the entire point that he was the Universal Champion and never got a real shot to win his title back. I think that’s a good storyline to go with heading into Wrestlemania season. A lot of people think it’s going to be Roman Reigns because he dropped the title to the Miz. To your point, Zach, I love the fact that we only had 17 or 18 confirmed participants. I think we said about 20 in the women’s, so that leaves room for 20-plus surprises. And yes, it could be from NXT but it could also be free agents. It could be Ring of Honor people. It could be celebrities. We don’t really know. And the mystery aspect to that is going to make this fun.

“My prediction for this match, I’m going to go out on a limb. I’d like to see Finn Balor win it. I’m going to say that. My prediction—I think, and I’m going out on a limb, and I know I’m hanging some onions with this pick. I think the crowd would go absolutely crazy if they give it to the Miz. A, it’s unexpected because he just won the Intercontinental Title, but B, he’s just one of those guys who legitimately the crowd hated, was in Roman Reigns territory, not hated because he was a heel but because they didn’t think he deserved to be there, and has completely turned a 180 on that narrative and is now one of the more respected guys that are run out there. And you’re in Philadelphia. WWE, be smarter than giving it to Roman Reigns again.”

We discuss what the Monday night after Wrestlemania would be with the Miz as a double champion, other match predictions and Enzo Amore’s release. If you can’t see the player below, click here.
