Two new favorites lead new Royal Rumble 2018 betting odds

For those that believe betting odds predict the future, do not continue with this post. With the 2018 Royal Rumble now just a few days away, recently released odds may give a glimpse into how the betting public views the outcomes of both matches.

We’ve been tracking the ebb and flow of the Rumble odds for a few weeks now. The early odds earmarked two favorites, while more recent odds have seen a few surprises shoot up to earn the label as favorites.

Thanks to popular betting aggregator Oddschecker, late Royal Rumble for the men’s and women’s battle royals have shifted over the last few days.

1) Roman Reigns (3/1)

2) Shinsuke Nakamura (7/2)

3) John Cena (8/1)

4) Braun Strowman (10/1)

5) Finn Balor (14/1)

6) AJ Styles (22/1)

7) Kevin Owens (22/1)

After weeks of hovering in the top five but not as the favorite, Roman Reigns is back at the top spot among bettors. John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura look like legit options to win while the WWE may look to use wrestlers who were in title matches earlier in the night as Rumble competitors.

1) Ronda Rousey (11/8)

2) Asuka (2/1)

3) Paige (11/2)

4) Becky Lynch (8/1)

5) Nia Jax (10/1)

6) Sasha Banks (20/1)

7) Bayley (25/1)

Despite rumors and news to the contrary, Ronda Rousey has finally moved ahead of Asuka as the favorite to win the women’s Rumble. Also it appears some still believe Paige will have a surprise involvement in the match.

Looking over the odds, are any wrestlers with a shot being ignored in the 2018 Royal Rumble?
