WWE announced they’re going big for 2019’s Royal Rumble, as the ‘Big 4’ pay-per-view (PPV) will return to a stadium-sized venue - and for the first time ever happen at baseball park - when it comes our way from Phoenix’s Chase Field.

In addition to Sunday, Jan. 27’s main show, the entire extended weekend’s worth of sports entertainment events and festivities will take place in Arizona’s largest city. Talking Stick Resort Arena will host NXT TakeOver the Saturday before, and Raw and SmackDown LIVE the Monday and Tuesday after, the PPV.

According to WWE.com, additional details, including ticket on-sale dates and travel packages, will be announced soon.

It will be interesting to see how they configure Chase Field, which is listed as holding approximately 48,000 for baseball games. Stadium shows usually mean lots of seats with sub-optimal sight lines, bad acoustics and other issues. But at least we might see a Kofi Kingston pool save!

Let us know if you’ll be travelling to the desert to see a couple Royal Rumble matches from outfield bleachers!
