AJ Styles agrees to face Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn in back to back matches

With history looming, tonight (Jan. 23) on SmackDown the show opened with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn looking to make a statement. Looking down the possibility of becoming co-WWE World Champions, Zayn and Owens appeared more confident than ever.

Annoying but confident none the less. Before the Yep Movement could pick up anymore steam, champion AJ Styles interrupted the dynamic duo.

At the end of long rambling promo from all three men, Owens and Zayn made a salient point; AJ Styles said he could beat both men on the same night, so Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn flipped the script.

Instead of waiting for a handicap match at the Royal Rumble, Styles should face Owens and Zayn in back-to-back matches tonight on SmackDown. Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles then Sami Zayn vs. AJ Styles was proposed by the heels and almost immediately accepted by the champ.

Tonight’s SmackDown main event also looks to have caused even more tension between authority figures Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon.

Awkward.

Can Styles topple Owens and Zayn in back-to-back matches? How will Bryan and McMahon factor into the SmackDown title scene?
