WWE to address cruiserweight title situation on 205 Live tonight

WWE announced earlier today that Enzo Amore has been released. Seeing as he was Cruiserweight champion and had been scheduled to defend that title against Cedric Alexander at Royal Rumble this Sunday night in Philadelphia, his release put the entire division in limbo.

Now, the company has announced SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan will kick off this week’s episode of 205 Live to address the title as well as rumors of a new GM:

Among the topics Bryan may address is the status of the WWE Cruiserweight Title. Will Cedric Alexander still have his long-awaited opportunity to claim it at Royal Rumble? Furthermore, what would the possible addition of a General Manager mean for the future of the Cruiserweight division? And is there someone lined up for the position?

This week’s episode will air at 10:20 p.m. ET to accommodate the second episode of Mixed Match Challenge.
