This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw provided answers to all the questions we had about the upcoming women’s Royal Rumble match in the form of Kurt Angle announcing it would indeed feature 30 wrestlers with all the same rules of the men’s match.
We also got more announced entrants for each match.
On the women’s side, the entirety of Absolution, Sasha Banks, and Bayley all cut promos revealing they are in. The updated list of confirmed entrants, then, is as follows:
- Naomi
- Natalya
- Ruby Riott
- Asuka
- Paige
- Mandy Rose
- Sonya Deville
- Sasha Banks
- Bayley
To get to 30, they’re almost certainly going to have to use the entirety of the current roster — comprised of 19 wrestlers not counting the two champions — so it’s just a matter of all of them declaring entry. We’re up to nine so far.
On the men’s side, John Cena threw his hat in the ring via social media while Finn Balor revealed he’s in while talking to Angle backstage on Raw. The updated list of confirmed entrants for the men’s match, then, is as follows:
- Elias
- Shinsuke Nakamura
- Randy Orton
- John Cena
- Finn Balor
Excited about how the two matches are shaping up?
