The Road to WrestleMania is getting weird. Last week new odds for the 2018 Royal Rumble were released and it gave us a few surprises.

This week, with the Rumble only ten days away, the betting odds have shifted in an entirely new direction for one of the two battle royal matches.

Yes! No!

According to leading Ireland and United Kingdom bookmaker Paddy Power, none other than SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan has risen out of nowhere to become one of the biggest favorites to win the men’s Royal Rumble.

1) Shinsuke Nakamura (11/8)

2) Roman Reigns (5/2)

3) Daniel Bryan (5/1)

4) Dolph Ziggler (4/1)

5) John Cena (9/2)

6) Braun Strowman (5/1)

7) Finn Balor (7/1)

Wow.

The WWE has been able to keep plenty of rumors, booking and surprise returns under wraps before but Daniel Bryan entering and winning the 2018 Royal Rumble would be pure ecstasy. Madness? Anarchy?

The Yes-Apocalypse would be something.

Over on the women's side of the Rumble coin, things are still wild but not a ‘end of pro wrestling days’ kind of wild.

1) Asuka (11/8)

2) Ronda Rousey (2/1)

3) Becky Lynch (6/1)

4) Nia Jax (8/1)

5) Nikki Bella (10/1)

6) Charlotte Flair (14/1)

7) Sasha Banks (14/1)

Just when you thought Ronda Rousey coming in and winning the first ever women’s Royal Rumble was the craziest thing ever, the world plants the seed of Daniel Bryan winning the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Stay crazy pro wrestling.
