Let’s watch the last Royal Rumble WWE held in Philadelphia

WWE will return to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Jan. 28, 2018, for its Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The last time they were in that building for Royal Rumble was 2015 and the disastrous match you can now watch, for free, above.

This was the year the fans actively revolted against what WWE was presenting them. When Daniel Bryan was eliminated, there was no hope of saving the match from what came next. They were so upset at his elimination, they took it out on everyone else who came into the match.

When Roman Reigns came in at number 19, the boos were deafening.

The way the rest of the match played out upset nearly everyone, or at least the most vocal among the audience, and Roman’s eventual victory, even with an assist from The Rock, who returned as beloved as ever, did nothing to change anyone’s mind about just how much they hated Reigns winning this match.

Let’s hope WWE is more successful in its return to Philly in two weeks.
