Naomi says Jimmy Uso doesn’t want to team with her in the Mixed Match Challenge

Naomi and Jimmy Uso, married in reality and always one of the better parts of Total Divas, are teaming together in the Mixed Match Challenge. They are an adorable couple who are adorable at least in part because of quotes like the one Naomi gave TV Insider when asked about their pairing:

“I wanted to work with him and team up with him, but he doesn’t really want to team up with me. He thinks I don’t listen. I tell him I will listen and do whatever he tells me to do. He goes, ‘No you won’t.’ I’m curious about it. It would fun to be with someone else like New Day or Nakamura or Rusev. Teaming up with Rusev would have been very entertaining because we can get on each other’s nerves all the time. And I’m the complete opposite from his ravishing wife Lana. We’ll see how it all goes.”

This is one of the reasons the Mixed Match Challenge has already been successful: the character work of those involved through interviews and social media. They haven’t even stepped in the ring yet but there are stories everywhere, and they’ve done well to create interest in a new concept.

Naomi even goes on to say she wouldn’t mind new mixed tag team titles being created off this. If it’s a success, don’t be surprised if that happens.
