Shayna Baszler will put her team ‘against any other team, any day of the week’

It’s just a quick interview released by WWE along with highlights of Shayna Baszler’s second round win over Mia Yim in the Mae Young Classic (MYC).

But the focus isn’t on the Queen of Spades quarterfinal match-up with Candice LaRae, or her path to Las Vegas for next Tuesday’s live finals. Nope, it’s on continuing to tease a program between her MMA crew and the Four Horsewomen of WWE.

“[Laughs] If they want to stand there and throw up ‘4’s like they can step up to us? I’ll put my team up against any other team, any day of the week.”

As with most things in pro graps, it seems like it excites some and angers others, but the company definitely wants us to think Ronda Rousey, Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir will be feuding with Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at some point in the future.

If you’re wondering what the next steps might be... that live finale is filming immediately after SmackDown next Tuesday (Sept. 12). Flair, Lynch and Baszler will definitely be there. Bayley is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury, so her schedule should be free, and The Boss will be a road trip away with Raw in Anaheim the night before. Rousey, Duke and Shafir made it to Winter Park, Florida for the MYC taping there - it certainly doesn’t seem out of the question they’d head to the MMA capital of the world to advance this story.

And maybe Ronda can have a business meeting with Vince McMahon while they’re both there?

Stick around, scripted fight fans.
