As she says, it’s interesting timing career-wise. The couple just recently debuted on SmackDown, but haven’t been featured much of late. Their gimmick was built on their status as a couple, and name recognition for Maria from her first WWE run last decade, so her being unavailable for some of the next seven months isn’t going to help.
But that’s probably the furthest thing from the Bennett-Kanellis’ minds right now, as they’re rightfully over the moon about growing their family. And who knows? Maybe this will be part of an angle that gets Mike a more prominent role on Tuesday nights?
Maria tells WWE.com she already has a plan lined up if the baby comes while her hubby is wrestling at WrestleMania 34:
"I'm sure it's going to happen right on WrestleMania. I've already talked to Mike and told him that if he has match, he has to go and be [there], but I'll definitely be Facetiming him with the baby afterward! There is definitely something to it being our first year in WWE and our first baby, so it's a very exciting time!”
So join us in channeling the Power of Love and sending our congrats to Mike and Maria!
