WWE No Mercy 2017 results: Enzo Amore goes low to steal the Cruiserweight title from Neville

With only a minor hiccup where he was without the title for less than a week, Neville has ruled the Cruiserweights since he joined the division. 205 Live has been his story for all of 2017.

Until Enzo Amore showed up.

Love or hate him, the Smacktalker Skywalker gets reactions - and eyes on the product. There was only one thing that could get more a response than his over-the-top personality and reports of legitimate backstage heat. The possibility would WWE would have him beat Neville for the Cruiserweight championship.

Amore “earned” the opportunity at the belt with opportunistic wins. Cheating to get a No Mercy title shot only gave Neville more reason to not take him seriously. But with a nut shot on the ‘go home’ and an insult-filled entrance promo on pay-per-view (PPV), the King wanted to send a message.

A missed Phoenix Splash was the first time Amore showed any sign of life in the match. But even after a DD-G from the top, Neville quickly regained control, and looked like he would win easily via countout.

That was when the Certified G grabbed the champ’s belt and convinced Neville to give chase. When they were back in the ring, Zo threatened to hit the King with the purple strap, which got the referee to take it from him... and created an opening for him to deliver another kick to the nethers of Neville.

1 - 2 - 3, new Cruiserweight champ.
