No Mr. McMahon? Slight problem.
Even promising fallout from Kevin Owens’ assault of the Chairman, SmackDown’s viewership dropped back down to it’s usual range without him. On Sept. 19, an audience of 2,510,000 tuned in to see KO and Shane talk about what happened to Vince the Tuesday before, and a scheduled AJ Styles U.S. title bout that didn’t end up happening.
That was the seventh most viewers of any cable original on the night, behind the usual Fox News shows and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. Ratings-wise, WWE again came in behind American Horror Story among 18 - 49 year olds. At a .74 share, that figure also trended down from last week (.88).
