The length of time Miz has held the Intercontinental championship has been a talking point for a few weeks now. The A-Lister called attention to it in late August when he caught up to his childhood fave Ultimate Warrior.
Without a pay-per-view (PPV) in between that milestone and climbing all the way to third place on the list, his showdown with Jeff Hardy was really the only obstacle to surpassing The Honky Tonk Man and his epic late 80s run.

Not a bad week. His beloved Cleveland Browns didn’t win, but he was there to lead the cheers for a strong performance on Sunday. The hometown Indians are setting records by refusing to lose. He and Maryse shared the news that they’re expecting their first child with the WWE Universe, and now this.
Pretty good for a guy who was changing in the hallway when he started on the main roster.
It’s a long way to catching Don Muraco and Pedro Morales - although holding the strap until WrestleMania 34 would do it.
Is that a story WWE’s gonna tell with The Awesome One?
