SmackDown Live viewers up big for Vince McMahon’s return

Just like with Monday Night Raw, viewership was delayed for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live due to the hurricane in Florida. And, just like with Raw, when news came in it was good.

Indeed, this week’s show garnered 2.75 million viewers, up big from last week’s 2.58 million.

That’s the most viewers who have tuned in for the blue brand dating back to just after WrestleMania 33 in April. WWE gave them good reason, with Vince McMahon returning to television and three championship matches (though there was only one title change). It’s unlikely that many will stick around next week but they’re already promoting yet another title match.
