Vince McMahon returns on SmackDown, books a Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon Hell in a Cell match

That wonderful strut was back on our television screens, if only for a night.

The Chairman of the Board, Vince McMahon, showed up in the main event segment of this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Las Vegas, Nevada to confront Kevin Owens over the situation with Shane McMahon one week ago.

He laid into Owens, letting him know that if Owens files a lawsuit against WWE or anyone in the McMahon family he will be fired. Then he revealed the real reason he suspended Shane wasn’t that he hit Owens but that he didn’t “finish the job.”

“You got what you deserved,” he told Owens before reinstating Shane and then booking a match between the two inside Hell in a Cell at the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name on Oct. 8, 2017, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

Owens then talked his way into it being okay to assault Vince before blasting him in the face with a headbutt:

Then he booted him in the gut after another shot. He was about to leave but Vince got up before he was gone, so he superkicked him and then hit him with a frog splash.

That got a “holy shit” chant from the crowd.
