John Cena opened this week’s episode of SmackDown Live to put Shinsuke Nakamura over just as much as he possibly could. Because this is pro wrestling, someone had to interrupt to run him down for it.
That was Baron Corbin.
It didn’t work out well for him. Cena, as he is wont to do, ran him down in such a way that it might actually stick with Corbin for the rest of his career. He called him a “skinny fat loudmouth overrated dumpster fire.”
Yeah.
They threatened each other before Baron tried to walk off. That just led to SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan showing up to book the two in a match for SummerSlam on Sun., Aug. 20, 2017, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Here’s the updated match card:
- Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar (c) in a Fatal 4Way for the WWE Universal championship; if Lesnar loses, he and Paul Heyman leave WWE)
