See... this is why Dean can’t trust you, Seth

Just when Dean was starting to open his heart...

The slow-burn reunion of Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins has been one of the most compelling stories on Raw in recent weeks. The tagged together a couple Mondays back, and rumors point to them continuing to do that - at least for the build to SummerSlam.

Getting ready for a major pay-per-view (PPV) event like that includes practice and experimentation on the house show circuit, which is what it appears Ambrollins was supposed to do last night in Canada. But old Traitorface left his boy Ambrose hanging, and any planned pairs bout morphed into Dean facing Karl Anderson one-on-one. Luke Gallows was ringside and interfered early and often, but the Unstable One prevailed. He probably could have used a hand from a guy who claims to be trying to make up for past mistakes, though.

Sure, Rollins had an excuse for why he wasn’t in Halifax, Nova Scotia despite being advertised...

But something tells me the Lunatic Fringe is going to cast a little side-eye at this tale of travel woe from the man who once stabbed him in the back with a steel chair (metaphorically speaking, Dean would be dead if he was actually skewered with a... okay, as Tyler Breeze famously said this week, NO MORE METAPHORS).

Here’s hoping this finds its way into their angle on Monday night.
