That would seem to be Faber repeating that White said the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight that happened this past Sat., Aug. 26, 2017, in Paradise, Nevada, did 6.5 million buys on pay-per-view.
That would be a new record, beating out the 4.6 million buys the Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight did just a couple years ago.
It’s not an official number, of course, and it’s at least possible it’s not the number at all, but all signs pointed to this show breaking records so it would be no surprise if it did just that.
