Some good news on the injury front - at least relatively speaking.
After rumors and video of Xavier Woods injuring his knee at last night’s house show in Arkansas created a lot of talk over the last 24 hours, fans were expecting the worst. But it turns out The New Day member’s diagnosis is closer to Samoa Joe’s than it is to Big Cass’.
In a live stream recorded today (Aug. 29) for his YouTube gaming channel UpUpDownDown, Woods discussed the injury with guests Becky Lynch and Renee Young. He revealed it’s a MCL sprain. Depending on the severity, which Xavier either didn’t know or didn’t disclose, those can keep an athlete out of action for three to twelve weeks. Lynch mentioned having the same injury in the past, and suggested Woods shouldn’t be on the shelf longer than a month.
We shall see.
We do know it’s not keeping him off television, as he hopped to ringside to support Kofi Kingston and Big E in a match against The Usos on SmackDown tonight.
And he continued to keep us in the loop in the most New Day way possible...
