While there wasn’t much of a bump in viewership for the post-SummerSlam episode of Monday Night Raw last week, rising from 3.23 million to 3.40 million viewers, there also wasn’t much of a decline for this week’s show.
Indeed, last night’s episode drew 3.30 million viewers.
The hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 3.38 million
Hour two: 3.36 million
Hour three: 3.16 million
WWE has set up to of its biggest possible matches on the red brand, with Braun Strowman challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal championship and a John Cena vs. Roman Reigns match that is the talk of pro wrestling world following the this very show. The two built interest with a scripted promo that didn’t seem all that scripted.
There’s still three weeks of television before those two matches take place, so plenty of time to build on the intrigue they’ve created. Whether that translates to increased viewers remains to be seen.
