Jeff Hardy wins battle royal, will wrestle The Miz for the Intercontinental title on Raw next week

@WWE

The Miz and his entourage opened this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to say, something, but we never got to hear it. That’s because General Manager Kurt Angle hit the scene to say he would be defending his Intercontinental championship next week against the winner of a battle royal on this show.

The participants:

  • Curtis Axel
  • Bo Dallas
  • Big Show
  • Matt Hardy
  • Jeff Hardy
  • Finn Balor
  • Jason Jordan
  • Curt Hawkins
  • Kalisto
  • Apollo Crews
  • Goldust
  • Elias
  • R-Truth
  • Karl Anderson
  • Luke Gallows

Hawkins was tossed out immediately, because he’s Curt Hawkins and that’s just what your life is when you’re Curt Hawkins. The rest of the ring turned on Show, because he’s big, but he fended them off, because he’s big. Kalisto was tossed by The Miztourage right after.

Big Show was finally dumped when Balor helped Anderson and Gallows get him over the top.

Too sweet me?

The crowd didn’t react like anything of note was happening in the ring, however, and Elias quickly broke it up to little fanfare. Perhaps a tease for later.

Matt Hardy single-handlely took both Good Brothers out but was eliminated by Gallows and then jumped for having done so. Later, they had an exciting showdown between Balor and Jeff Hardy. That ended when Bray Wyatt transported into the ring, eliminated Wyatt, and then transported back out of the ring.

Both members of The Miztourage were taken out by Jason Jordan, who managed to survive a sneak attack from Elias by eliminating him but he was then quickly tossed by Jeff Hardy.

It’s on for next week!
