John Cena vs. Roman Reigns match set for WWE No Mercy 2017

Why wait?

Yes, John Cena vs. Roman Reigns is a WrestleMania main event level match, and maybe it would be a good idea for WWE to hold off on it until then. But that never meant they were going to (maybe because it’s not planned to be that, nor would this preclude it being that).

Indeed, Mike Rome announced just a short time ago the two will wrestle at the upcoming No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Sept. 24, 2017, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California:

That makes No Mercy a stacked show no matter what else they fill the card with. The top two matches are both WrestleMania main event level bouts and WWE is giving them to us sooner rather than later.

Can’t complain about that, right?

The updated No Mercy match card:

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman (Universal championship)
  • John Cena vs. Roman Reigns
