WWE No Mercy 2017 match card, rumors

WWE.com

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the No Mercy event set to take place on Sun., Sept. 24, 2017, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This is the thirteenth show in the event’s chronology but the first one exclusively featuring the Raw brand’s roster.

We're a month away from No Mercy 2017, and we only have one match officially announced for the card, but it’s a big one:

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman (Universal championship)

The Beast Incarnate survived SummerSlam’s Fatal 4Way main event to keep his title, but Strowman did everything in his considerable power to put the champ on the shelf. The following night on Raw, The Monster Among Men let Brock know he wasn’t finished with him yet, and General Manager Kurt Angle made the match fans have been wanting to see for months now.

We can expect at least one other main event caliber match, as “Free Agent” John Cena is advertised for No Mercy. Rumors say WWE may pull the trigger on a marquee match-up with Roman Reigns there, while booking this past Monday also presented Samoa Joe as a possible opponent.

As a single brand show, all Raw’s titles should be on the line, although with four weeks to go the challengers aren’t lined up just yet. It does seem possible Enzo Amore’s splashy arrival on 205 Live could lead to a Cruiserweight championship match against Neville.
