NXT is back at their home base of Full Sail Live, where they'll tape matches and segments for their regular Wednesday night series on WWE Network.
Tonight’s show (Aug. 2) will build from last Saturday’s TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Not only did A LOT of stuff happen in Barclays, including two title changes, but the former NXT champ is now on SmackDown and a big name inserted himself right into the main event scene, BAY BAY. Seeing as there’s not another live event currently scheduled until the night before Survivor Series, there’s much to cover (although the next taping is just in a few weeks, on Weds., Sept. 13).
We’ll know more when results start rolling in from Winter Park, Florida. We'll be updating those here live, starting at the scheduled 6:30PM Eastern bell time:
- Jazzy Gabert over Leah Knox
- Drew McIntyre makes his first entrance as NXT Champion. He pledges to be a fighting champion and offers a title shot to anyone who steps in the ring and challenges him to his face. This brings Roderick Strong out to make a challenge, saying all he cares about in life is his family and that title.
- Peyton Royce over Ruby Riot. Billie Kay got involved, directly leading to the finish.
- Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) over some local talent.
- Roderick Strong over Bobby Roode.
- Post-match, McIntyre comes to the stage to acknowledge Roddy’s win but Adam Cole and reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) put the boots to the champion!
- Andrade “Cien” Almas over Cezar Bononi. Zelina Vega was on commentary for this one.
- Aleister Black comes down to cut a promo but is interrupted by the Velveteen Dream. VD runs Black down on the mic and gets in his face on the mat, hands and knees against cross-leg sitdown, before leaving.
- Johnny Gargano over Riddick Moss.
- Lars Sullivan over Joe A’gau, Maxx Stardom, and another wrestler in a handicap match that was originally billed under tag rules but Lars insisted on taking them on all at once. Post-match, No Way Jose confronts Lars over the attack in Brooklyn.
- The crowd is informed that Hideo Itami and Kassius Ohno will be meeting in a no disqualification match later.
- Sonya Deville over Zeda.
- Kassius Ohno over Hideo Itami in a no disqualification match.

- Nikki Cross & Ruby Riot over Billie Kay & Peyton Royce.
- Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) over Ealy Brothers (Gabriel & Uriel Ealy)
- Pete Dunne (c) over Wolfgang to retain the WWE United Kingdom Championship.
- Post-match, Cole, Fish, and O’Reilly attack both men but Dunne rolls away in short order and leaves Wolfgang to take most of the beating. Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) came down to tend to Wolfgang.
- Johnny Gargano over Tino Sabbatelli.
- Moustache Mountain vs. reDRagon is announced for later in the night.
- Bianca BelAir over Lacey Evans.
- Lars Sullivan over No Way Jose.
- reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) over Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate).
- Post-match, Drew McIntyre runs the ex-ROH guys off and into the waiting arms of SAnitY!
- William Regal is in the ring and Asuka comes down. She vacates the NXT Women’s Championship and Regal says he’s begun negotiations with Raw and SmackDown to promote her to the main roster. Triple H then comes to the ring to send the former champion off.
