Wow.
NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III’s tag title match had to follow an electric opener between Andrade “Cien” Almas and Johnny Gargano, but they had a great formula to keep up the pace. Use everything, and the kitchen sink.
Including an intergender table spot.
Paul Ellering had his champs Authors of Pain ready, with Akam and Rezar looking sharp and working as a well-oiled machine in the early going. But SAnitY general Eric Young had a few tricks up his sleeve.
For starters, EY himself wrestled with Alexander Wolfe, rather than the announced team of Wolfe and Killian Dain. It didn’t look like a smart play as the Authors dominated Young, but a big tag from the German - featuring some impressive German Suplexes to both the larger members of AoP - started to turn the tide.
Then Dain and Nikki Cross got involved...

That set up the finish (a neckbreaker/back suplex where Wolfe pinned Rezar), a title change and probably a face turn for SAnitY. Especially considering what happened after they held up the belts...
reDRagon!

The Authors have their first loss, and maybe a ticket to the main roster? We definitely have issues between Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish and the new champs.
