It’s been almost two full days since Baron Corbin cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Jinder Mahal on SmackDown Live, then lost via roll up in all of six seconds. It was done in service of Corbin’s ongoing issue with John Cena, leading to a match between the two at SummerSlam this coming Sunday night in Brooklyn.
Hey, it’s not like Corbin was white hot before this.
It’s still a stunning turn of events, considering Corbin’s career trajectory seemed to indicate the powers that be had big plans for him. That may still be the case but the last guy who wasn’t a made man when he got the briefcase and then failed to cash it in never got to the main event level.
