Paige provides an update on her return to WWE

It’s been a little more than a year since Paige has been on television for WWE (on a wrestling show, anyway), and to say a lot has happened in that time would be a definite understatement.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the soon-to-be 25 year old Brit’s contractual status with Vince McMahon’s company. Whether it’s because they miss her in-ring work or because they’d like to see her busy doing something other than following fiance Alberto El Patron around the world, many fans are excited to see her back on Raw as soon as possible.

The neck surgery she underwent back in October is the main reason Paige isn’t currently wrestling. There were conflicting reports recently about what her status was with regards to being medically cleared for a comeback, but while appearing with El Patron at a charity bowling event yesterday (Aug. 14) in San Antonio, local TV reporter Chelsey Hernandez caught up with the Anti-Diva and got the scoop on her status.

Asked when she plans on returning to television, Paige responded:

“Hopefully within the next couple of months, fingers crossed. We have to see... Now I have to get cleared by WWE doctors. We’ll see!”

Leading up to the surgery last Fall, there were reportedly issues between WWE’s medical team and Paige’s personal doctors, so this - like many things when it comes to her and her employers these days - may not be a straight-forward process.

But as she says, fingers crossed.
