Mike Kanellis, the character, seems a little adrift right now. Since debuting with his wife Maria at Money in the Bank in June, he’s lost a feud with Sami Zayn and is an odd man out on the SummerSlam card.

His decision to come forward as a way to inspire and support others struggling with addictions is admirable, and a great use of the platform being signed to the biggest wrestling/sports entertainment company in the world provides.
And now that he’s been under contract to WWE, Kannellis has access to the company’s recovery resources, so hopefully with that in addition to Maria and the rest of his own support system, he can stay sober and continue to motivate others for a long time to come.
